For its 2nd edition, the jury of the Eat Better at the Movies (Mieux manger au ciné) competition will be chaired by chef Manon Fleury the Afcae, partner of the event, which aims to select better products for the cinema and the cultural places, indicated on Monday, January 23. This 2023 edition will have "a strong commitment from the territories," to find "new products adapted to the cinema, creative, anti-waste, good for health and the planet." The competition, launched on January 15, will award its prizes on April 18. Last year, 12 products were rewarded.
An Eat Better at the Movies week will also take place between April 12 and 18, with around twenty establishments mobilized, which will notably offer a feature film during which viewers will be able to "taste a small dish inspired by the film" directed by a chef. In 2023, a monthly newsletter will also be launched, which will present a good practice carried out in a cinema or a cultural place.
