La1ere.fr / Black Sheep Films / Shine Fiction: filming of season 2 of “Ultra far”

Black Sheep Films (Augustin Bernard and Mathieu Van de Velde) and Shine Fiction (Banijay) will start filming on April 3 in Chatou for La1ere.fr's season 2 of the fiction Ultra loin (8 x 20') on the life of young French overseas who have come to the Paris region to carry out their professional, school or personal projects, indicated the Overseas division of France Télévisions, Monday, February 27. Like the first season, this new collection of episodes is directed by Chloé Léonil, who is also the screenwriter with Etienne Chedéville.
Season 1 addressed, among other things, the difficult arrival and adaptation of certain young people and the ambiguous relationship that some of them have with the metropolis. The second season takes place at the start of the school year in Chatou's flat sharing in Ile-de-France. It follows the paths of the protagonists, strewn with pitfalls and pleasant surprises, with a "slightly more political" approach that includes questions of identity and community, or parts of French history still unknown throughout the character of Virginie, (Laurence Roustandjee) a " child of Creuse", in reference to the exile of children from the Reunion transferred to the French department to compensate for the rural exodus. New arrival in the flat, she sees in this unique home the opportunity to create a guest house "overseas atmosphere", which is not unanimous.
Filming will continue until April 21. The cast also brings together Chara Afouhouye, Olenka Ilunga, Frédéric Lapinsonnière, Malaurie Lefèvre, Gaudéric Maléjac, Immanuelle Shékina Mangatalle-Carey, Arnold Mensah, Giovani Mole and Owen Pipite.
