TF1 Licensing is launching a "dance experience in Web3" around Danse avec les stars through a video game co-published by Kinetix, a start-up incubated in 2020 by the TF1 Media Lab, and Next Dancer, a dance game designed for the metaverse, said the licensing subsidiary of the TF1 group on Monday, November 28.

The game, which incorporates the format of the talent competition broadcast on TF1 and produced by BBC Studios France, is based on Kinetix technology, which captures movements and transcribes them into a 3D avatar. It offers the DALS community the opportunity to "collect iconic dance steps from the program" and acquire exclusive movements in NFT "with a view to creating their own choreographies and competing against other players," the press release specified.

The deployment of the experience takes place in three stages. For now, pre-registration online at www.experiencedals.fr allows users to discover and collect three free movements. The real launch of the NFT collection is announced for "some time during December." Users will then be able to collect the NFTs of the dance steps from the DALS collection for values that vary between 1 and 50 euros, the prices being "converted into Matic cryptocurrency." The game will really begin in "early 2023 ": players will be able to launch choreography battles with the different dance steps they have collected, with the aim of becoming the best dancer in the game.
