Bruce Willis ' illness has worsened and the actor, who ended his career in the spring of 2022, now suffers from an incurable form of dementia, according to a new medical diagnosis. Aged 67, the hero of the Die Hard saga initially suffered from aphasia, a language disorder caused by brain damage. But since last year, "Bruce's disease has progressed and we now have a more precise diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia", explained his relatives in a press release. Frontotemporal degeneration (FTD) is a neurodegenerative disease, related to Alzheimer's disease.
His prolific career, which began in the 1980s, has been marked by numerous action films such as the Die Hard saga, science fiction such as The Fifth Element or Armageddon, as well as thrillers such as Sixth Sense, Unbreakable or Glass.
