Iranian authorities released famous actress Hengameh Ghaziani on bail on Sunday (November 27th), two news agencies said, more than a week after she was arrested for supporting the protest movement. The actress posted on her Instagram account a video shot in a streets of Tehran in which she is bareheaded in front of the camera without speaking. She then turns around and puts her hair in a ponytail, like other women do before going to demonstrate. The 52-year-old has twice won Best Actress at the Fajr Film Festival in Tehran, in 2008 and 2012.
The Irna agency also announced the release on Monday of "former state television host Mahmoud Shahriari, after 2 months of detention." Aged 63, he was arrested at the end of September for having "encouraged riots and solidarity with the enemy."
