Andrée Damant: death of "Scènes de ménages" actress at the age of 93

The actress Andrée Damant, made famous by her roles in Plus belle la vie (France 3) and Scènes de ménages (M6), died at the age of 93, Satellifacts learned, Friday, December 9. She died on Wednesday, December 7, in a Parisian hospital, according to her agent quoted by Le Parisien. The Franco-Egyptian actor and director Aytl Jensen, with whom Andrée Damant had just shot the film Forever, also shared the information on Twitter, as did Frédéric Bouraly, her co-star in Scènes de ménages.

Originally from Avignon, she acted in the films, in particular, Chacun cherche son chat, Le Fabuleux Destin d’Amélie Poulain, La Gloire de mon père, Ne le dis à personne and, more recently, Belle and Sébastien and Joyeuse retraite ! Also present in TV series, in addition to the theater, she distinguished herself, in recent years, in Plus belle la vie, the France 3 daily soap opera which has just ended and in which she played Julienne Vidal. She was also known to M6 audiences for her role as Tata Odette in the short series Scènes de ménages. At the beginning of the year, she participated in a video by youtuber Squeezie, entitled Essayez de ne pas rire édition IRL, alongside Jonathan Cohen and Hakim Jemili. Andrée Damant had just finished shooting Forever under the direction of Aytl Jensen.
