
Arcom is organizing a study day on November 17 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. during which researchers will present their work on audiovisual and digital media and discussions will take place with an audience of experts, announced the Authority, Wednesday, October 26.
Among the main highlights of this day introduced by Roch-Olivier Maistre, Chairman of the Authority: Vincent Bullich (University of Grenoble) will speak at 9.45 a.m. on the theme "VOD platforms and niche strategies: creation challenges, mediation, territorial issues", at 10.15 a.m. there will be a keynote by Patrick Eveno (Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne) on the theme "Media economics, a historical look for a contemporary perspective". This will be followed at 10:55 a.m. by a return to "the case of Mediapro on the French football broadcasting rights market and the winner's curse", by Antoine Feuillet (Paris-Saclay University). Marianne Lumeau (University of Rennes I) and Stéphanie Peltier (University of La Rochelle) will present at 11.10 am an “Analysis of the concentration of attention by media groups”.
Also announced at 11:40 a.m., Julia Cagé (Science Po) on the theme “Shareholders, audience, or journalists? A study of media bias, France, 2002-2022”. Or, at 4:20 p.m., Nicolas Hervé, from INA, will address the question "Presidential 2022 in the audiovisual sector: the Zemmour statistical anomaly", while at 4:50 p.m., Claire Sécail (University of Paris) will speak on the theme: "Don't Touch My Pluralism? Practice of political pluralism, sincerity of the broadcaster and testing of the regulatory framework during an election period through the C8 / TPMP case”.
Arcom specifies that the works were selected by its scientific committee, following a call for contributions, emphasizing that their content cannot reflect the opinion of the Authority or the members of its scientific committee. The conference will be broadcast live on the Arcom website and on Twitter.
