Arte: filming of the fiction “A la joie” written and directed by Jérôme Bonnell

Arte France joins Jérôme Bonnell (Les Hautes Herbes, Chère Léa) with the filming of the fiction A la joie (108'), which began on March 6, in Paris and Montpellier, and will continue until April 7, has indicated the channel, Wednesday, March 29. In this Stromboli Films production (Juliette Sol), the filmmaker, also author of the TV movie, looks back on the first lockdown to make it "the theater of a dazzling love story" interpreted by Amel Charif (Irresponsable, Noël Joyeux) and Pablo Pauly (Trois nuits par semaine, Temps de chien !).

In March 2020, Véra, a labour lawyer based in Montpellier, visits her parents in Paris. When lockdown is announced, to fight against the spread of the Covid virus, she decides to stay and lies to her fiancé, Mehdi, who is waiting for her in the South. In an apartment lent by a friend, between anxiety and relief in the face of this sudden loneliness, Vera meets Sam. Very quickly, isolation brings them together .

The cast also brings together Marc Citti, Charlotte Laemmel, Anne Suarez, Olga Mouak, Gaëtan Peau, Caroline Baehr and Marie Desgranges.
