Season 2 of No Man's Land (8 x 45'), a Franco-Israeli series starring Mélanie Thierry and Souheila Yacoub, is filming in Morocco until March 20, Arte announced on Thursday, December 8. Created by Maria Feldman (False Flag), Eitan Mansuri (When Heroes Fly), Amit Cohen (False Flag) and Ron Leshem (Euphoria), the fiction between family drama and spy thriller, rooted in the Syrian conflict of the mid-2010s, is co-produced by Haut et Court TV, Masha Productions (United States), Spiro Films (Israel), Fremantle (RTL Group) in association with the American platform Hulu (Disney). This series is directed by Rotem Shamir (Fauda, Hostages) from a script by Amit Cohen and Ron Leshem.
Alongside Mélanie Thierry and Souheila Yacoub, the cast brings together actors from season 1 such as James Krishna Floyd (My Brother the Devil) and Dean Ridge (Vikings), and newcomers like Thibaut Evrard (La Nuit du 12, Borgia), Leo Hatton and Zed Josef.
In 2015, the Kurdish fighters of the YPJ (women's defense units) continue their fight against the Islamic State without respite. While the first season explored the reasons that lead individuals to go to war and the moral conflicts that result from it, these new episodes concern the possibility or not of returning, from familiar characters and new ones.
