
The magazine Le Dessous des images (12', Arte France Développement), presented by Sonia Devillers and announced "this winter" during Arte 's back-to-school conference (Satellifacts, August 30), is now available on arte.tv and will be put online from Monday, November 14 on YouTube before being broadcast on the air "early 2023," indicated the channel, Monday, November 7. The show will then be scheduled from Monday to Friday at 7:30 p.m.
In this new magazine, the journalist is interested in "an image that makes our time in the fields of news or pop culture." In the company of those who contributed to its production and researchers, it helps to read and understand it, explains its virality and its power, what it brings to life in us. "Training your eye, looking at an image, that is learned,” she indicates in the trailer of the magazine.
The first issue, entitled "La catastrophe et les parasols" is based on a photo dated July 2022 by photographer Thibaud Moritz with holidaymakers enjoying the sand, the sun and the sea, while the Gironde forest blazes in the background. Other analyzes will follow on "Les baignades révolutionnaires" (Monday November 14), "L’œuvre et l’intelligence artificielle" (Monday November 21), "Portrait de l’ennemi n° 1" (Monday November 28) and "L’instant avant la tempête” (Thursday, December 1).
