Arte became a partner of the Nouvelles Ecritures school and of season 2 of its "Series scriptwriters" training, in accordance with their "common ambition to support the emergence of new worlds of authors," they announced in a joint press release on Friday, February 10.
By virtue of this partnership, Arte supports the school with the aim of contributing to the integration of emerging authors from Nouvelles Ecritures. In this sense, the intervention of the teams of Arte France is planned in several places: reception of an intern, participation of the Arte team in the selection jury and in pitching sessions for students in writing, implementation of a program of masterclasses, interventions and discovery of the channel for the students of the school.
Founded in 2021 and chaired by Sophie Mougin, the Nouvelles Ecritures school dedicated to the series has a triple vocation: to train young people in the profession of screenwriter for series, to initiate young people far from employment in all of the production professions, and to support all of its former students and participants in their professional integration. Free, it benefits from the support of public partners (the Ile-de-France Region and the Ministry of Culture), private partners (Elephant, Les Studios de Paris and now Arte) and its educational partner, the ARP. The school is located at the Cité du Cinéma in Saint-Denis.
