The Banijay production group exited the capital of Shauna Events, the influencer agency founded by Magali Berdah, who took over 100% control. An agreement has been reached for an unspecified amount, allowing the exit of Banijay's capital, according to Le Parisien of Wednesday December 14. Negotiations were underway to formalize the split with Shauna Events before the end of the month, La Lettre A revealed at the beginning of November (Satellifacts, November 8).
Stéphane Courbit's group entered it four years ago. Thirty employees are affected. "I needed a reconstruction objective and a reason to move forward. It was a question of survival for me. I have lots of projects and ambitions," declared Magali Berdah to Le Parisien, the daily publication reffering the price of a symbolic euro.
A pioneer in their sector, Shauna Events, dedicated to supporting influencers, is in turmoil due to accusations of deceptive commercial practices, launched in particular by rapper Booba. The latter filed a complaint against X and an investigation was opened in early September on this offense, entrusted to the Antibes police station. These accusations were accompanied by acts of intense cyberbullying of which Magali Berdah was the victim, and on which the justice opened an investigation. About fifteen people are to be tried soon in Paris for these acts of "aggravated cyberbullying," but not Booba, whom Magali Berdah claims is responsible for this cyberbullying.
