BFM TV / Interference: a preliminary investigation opened after complaint filed by the channel

A preliminary investigation has been opened in Paris after the complaint against X for passive corruption and breach of trust filed by BFM TV for suspicion of interference in the work of its ex-journalist Rachid M'Barki, said sources familiar with the matter., Thursday, March 23 (Satellifacts, February 23). The investigation was opened “recently”, specified one of these sources, and entrusted to the sub-directorate of economic and financial affairs of the Parisian judicial police. Heard Wednesday, March 22 by a parliamentary commission of inquiry into foreign interference, Rachid M'Barki felt that he was the target of " unfair accusations ". Jean-Pierre Duthion was one of his "informants", he admitted, denying however having received money or any benefit in kind in exchange for the broadcast, on the antenna of BFM TV, of elements from the lobbyist (our edition of the day).

Questioned by this same commission on Thursday, the general manager of BFM TV, Marc-Olivier Fogiel, revealed that Jean-Pierre Duthion "tried to contact other journalists from BFM TV after the departure of Rachid M'Barki", without succeeding.
