The first edition of the Biarritz International Film Festival – New Wave will take place from June 28 to July 2, 2023, organizers said on Friday, February 10. This new event "highlights and listens to youth," with films on stories of youth (characters between 12 and 35 years old), judged by a jury of artists under 35 and an international jury of students from major film schools. The trophy, given to the winners, is designed by the students from the Boulle school.
The program includes screenings (indoor and outdoor), concerts, exhibitions, meetings with guests of honor as well as a professional component.
