Canal+: "Genre, genres," a new monthly cinema program presented by Antoine de Caunes

Canal+ will launch, on Tuesday January 24, Genre, genres, a new monthly cinema program produced by Flab Prod (Vivendi), the channel announced on Wednesday, January 4. Broadcast at 10:55 p.m. on Canal+ and myCanal, the 45-minute program presented by Antoine de Caunes will explore "under all its cultures, with curiosity and humor, a cinematographic genre," in the presence of "filmmakers, screenwriters, actors […], authors […] passionate about this genre,” explained the channel. Alongside the host, the filmmaker Michel Hazanavicius will offer each issue his vision of the genre in question.

Genre, genres, whose editorial producer is François Condamin and director Matthieu Allard, will be devoted, for its first issue, to zombie films. Antoine de Caunes and his guests will approach the genre from "emblematic films," from the White Zombie by Victor Halperin (1932) to Final Cut by Michel Hazanavicius (2022) via Night of the Living Dead by Lucio Fulci (1979).

Among the other genres announced for the next episodes which "will form a unique collection": musicals, teen-movie, science fiction, western, biopic, war film, spy, etc.
