After Baron noir, Eric Benzekri and Ziad Doueiri (Cœurs noirs) are collaborating again, respectively as creator/screenwriter and director, on an original Canal+ creation, La Fièvre (6 x 52'), the channel announced on Tuesday 7 March. Its shooting will be launched on March 13 for 4 months in Paris and in the Paris region, as well as in Dijon.

Produced by Nicolas Duval Adassovsky for Quad, with Léon Productions as co-executive producer, this time it is on the French football community, which finds itself plunged into the heart of a media storm. During the end-of-season Ligue 1 trophy ceremony, a player violently headbutted his coach and called him a "dirty toubab", or "white" in Wolof. La Fièvre recounts the fight between the club's communicator and a "spin doctor" who, from the stage of her always-full-theater, "instrumentalizes the event by stirring up the identity and social issues that are tearing the country apart", according to the press release.

The cast brings together, among others, Nina Meurisse, Ana Girardot, Benjamin Biolay, Alassane Diong, Xavier Robic, Lou-Adriana Bouziouane, Pascal Vannson and Assa Sylla. Series creator Eric Benzekri co-wrote it with collaboration from Laure Chichmanov and Anthony Gizel.
