Canal+ will broadcast the 3rd and final season of the British series Happy Valley (6 x 52') with two episodes every Monday at 9 p.m., starting March 20, the channel announced on Tuesday February 28. This 3rd salvo is produced by Lookout Point, BBC Studios label, for the BBC, in co-production with AMC. The first two seasons had been produced by Red Production Company, a British subsidiary of Studiocanal. They are available on Canal+ via myCanal (Satellifacts, July 3, 2019).

Embodied since her debut in 2014 by Sarah Lancashire, Catherine, a sergeant officiating in Yorkshire on the verge of retirement, continues her slow reconstruction, after the death of her daughter. Over the course of this new opus, she will lead one of the most complex investigations of her career. Also in the cast are James Norton and Siobhan Finneran.

The series, created by Sally Wainwright, still has record audiences: the broadcast on January 1 of the first episode of this third and final installment was followed across the Channel by more than 11 million viewers.

Happy Valley
was crowned Best Drama Series at the Bafta TV Awards for its first two seasons, and also won Best Actress awards in 2017 for Sarah Lancashire and Best Screenplay.
