Charles Aznavour: a biopic directed by Mehdi Idir and Grand Corps Malade starring Tahar Rahim

The biopic Monsieur Aznavour will be directed by Mehdi Idir and Grand Corps Malade (Patients, School Life) for release in 2024, its producers, Kallouche Cinéma and Mandarin & Compagnie, announced on Thursday February 16. The Franco-Armenian singer who died in 2018 at the age of 94 will be played by Tahar Rahim.

The film, produced "in agreement with the Aznavour family", will tell the story of the singer's rise in the 1950s. Filming will take place this summer for a release in 2024, for the singer's centenary.
