The singer and screenwriter Emmanuelle, interpreter of the credits of the successful series Premiers Baisers broadcast on TF1 in the years 1980-1990, died at the age of 59. Emmanuelle (Emmanuelle Mottaz is her full name) was part at the time of AB Productions, company of Jean-Luc Azoulay, who announced her disappearance on Tuesday March 21. “Emmanuelle has left us. Huge sadness. She will forever be in our hearts,” he wrote on Twitter.
The production company then dominated the sector of programs for children and teenagers, with Le Club Dorothée or series like Premiers Baisers and Hélène et les Garçons, all broadcast on TF1. According to the producer, Emmanuelle died on March 16 in a Parisian hospital. “She had been in fragile health for some time. She was a real artist, a wonderful girl. She was a singer and screenwriter for Hélène et les Garçons in particular. We are very sad,” the producer said.
After having accompanied Dorothée in the song Allô allô monsieur l'informatique (she was the robotic voice of the computer), Emmanuelle had enjoyed solo success in 1986 with the title Premier Baiser, also released by AB Productions. This bluette modeled on the slows of the 1960s had sold 700,000 copies and had reached second place in the Top 50. The song was then taken up as the theme song for the Premiers Baisers series, which aired from 1991 to 1995.
In 1987, Emmanuelle again met with success with the song Rien que toi pour m’endormir. She then turned to writing screenplays for AB Productions, then directing short films and photography.
