France 24 offers, from March 18, Hors Champ, a new program highlighting French people who, through their social and environmental initiatives, “impact society”, according to a press release from the channel published on Tuesday March 14. Broadcast one Saturday a month at 9:45 a.m., this 6-minute program outlines actions undertaken in France in favor of the social and solidarity economy, the fight against global warming and job insecurity.
Also accessible on the digital environments of France 24 and in a subtitled version on the websites of the Arabic, English and Spanish channels, it is hosted by journalists Ségolène Malterre and Wassim Nasr, presenters of Pas2Quartier.
The first issue is devoted to a social project carried out by people with Down syndrome : the rehabilitation of an abandoned station, near Marseille, by the association TCAP 21, which has turned it into a hostel-restaurant run by people with disabilities.
