The France 5 Saturday program, C l'hebdo, produced by Troisième Œil Productions (Mediawan) and presented by Ali Baddou, will now occupy two hours of air time from January 7, thanks to a half-hour extension, announced the channel on Tuesday, December 20. The program (7 p.m. to 8:55 p.m.) will also have a new setting and will offer “two new sequences” in its second part, the press release indicated.
The show will host "Le débat de l’hebdo," ("The Weekly Debate") with "two guests face to face live, far from polemics, clashes and caricatures, to rediscover the meaning of democratic debate." In addition, comedian and columnist Pierre-Emmanuel Barré will make "his big comeback on TV" with "La Semaine Barré" (The Barred Week").
Ali Baddou remains supported by Jean-Michel Apathie, Antoine Genton, Eva Roque and Mélanie Taravant. The lengthening of C l'hebdo is being done to the detriment of a slot which hosted 26 minutes documentaries, including, recently, the mini-series Devenir marin-pêcheur (Les Nouveaux Jours Productions).
