France Télévisions / La 1ère: Thursday launch of the magazine “60’ Outre-mer”

The overseas network of France Télévisions La 1ère launched a new news magazine called 60' Outre-mer on Thursday June 8, the public group announced the day before. Presented by Valérie Filain, this monthly meeting produced internally "will receive experts and overseas actors to decipher and analyze the topics of the moment", according to the press release. This first issue, broadcast a few weeks before an interministerial committee for overseas territories (scheduled for July 3), took the form of a special program devoted to relations between the State and the overseas territories.

To deal with these institutional questions and their impact on the populations, statutes and history of the overseas territories, Valérie Filain received Moetai Brotherson, President of French Polynesia, Jean-Victor Castor, Member of Parliament for Guyana, Alain Christnacht, former adviser to Lionel Jospin for the overseas territories, Estelle Youssoupha, MP for Mayotte, and political scientist Audrey Célestine.

The program has been broadcast since June 8 on all nine La 1ère channels, as well as on the La1ere.fr platform. Bruno Sat acted as editor-in-chief.
