France Télévisions has acquired season 2 of the series Les Enquêtes du commissaire Van Der Valk, of which it had already broadcast season 1 on France 3 at the end of August 2020 in the foreign series slot on Sunday evening, its distributor, All3Media International, said on Monday, November 21.

This series, launched in 2019, whose first two seasons consist of 6 episodes of 120', is co-produced by ARD Degeto (Germany), Masterpiece PBS (United States), ITV (United Kingdom) and NPO (Netherlands).

The third season, which has just wrapped filming in Amsterdam, is being produced with NL Film & TV and Dutch public broadcaster NPO, which will own the rights for the Netherlands. Other funding was provided by the Netherlands Film Production Incentive (NFPI) agency.

This new salvo makes it possible to join Commissioner Piet Van Der Valk, played by the British Marc Warren (Les Arnaqueurs VIP), as he teams up with Inspector Lucienne Hassell (Maimie McCoy). The team grows with newcomers like Sergeants Citra Li (Django Chan-Reeves) and Eddie Suleman (Azan Ahmed).
