France tv distribution: acquisition of the film “Belle” by Benoît Jacquot (Macassar, Ciné-@)

France tv distribution launched the sales of Belle, a film not yet shot by Benoît Jacquot, at the Cannes Film Market, announced the commercial subsidiary of France Télévisions, Tuesday, May 23. Co-produced by Macassar Productions (Eva) and Ciné-@ (Maigret), the feature film will star Guillaume Canet (Asterix & Obelix: The Middle Kingdom, Le Grand Bain) and Charlotte Gainsbourg (Les Passagers de la nuit, La Promesse de l'Aube).
Adapted from La Mort de Belle by Georges Simenon, the film tells the upset life of a couple after the murder of a young girl they were hosting.
