
The musical will make its debut on france.tv/slash with the release of ReuSSS on Thursday, 8 December ("Sisters" in verlan, 10 x 20 '), announced the France Télévisions platform, Tuesday, 15 November. Produced by Lizland Films, it centers on three young women, who venture into dangerous areas of a housing estate to find the man who assaulted one of the women's brother, who has fallen into a coma.
The three actresses who play these roles, Charlie Loiselier, Assa Sylla and Inès Ouchaaou, received the interpretation prize at Series Mania 2022. They play alongside Daouda Keita, Abraham Wapler, Brahim Zaibat, Djamel Benyahia, Lucas Mortier and Bilel Chegrani. Created by Jérôme Larcher and Catherine Regula and directed by Mohamed Chabane and Théo Jourdain, ReuSSS also relies on a team dedicated to the singing and dancing scenes. The music is by Proof with Brav, Cosmic Batwota, and the lyrics are by Tiers Monde. The choreography is provided by Cathy Ematchoua.
The series, which is part of the call for projects launched in 2018 by Sened Dhab, the director of digital fiction at France Télévisions, is also part of a larger project including a musical album of 21 songs and a live performance of 24 choreographies, explains producer Elizabeth Arnac in the press release. She also highlights the "challenge, human that one, […] to depict a French suburb and its youth with sincerity and optimism."
