The International Organization of the French-speaking World (Organisation internationale de la francophonie, OIF), France Médias Monde (F2M) and Reporters Without Borders (Reporters sans frontières, RSF) have awarded three Francophone Media Innovation Awards 2022, aimed at strengthening press freedom and the right to information in French. This media, present on the various social platforms, addresses topics on nature, history, society, culture and sports. It offers exchange and discussion platforms, interviews and video reports of approximately 3 minutes, subtitled and composed of filmed images whose content is enriched with text, computer graphics, motion design and voice-over.

The first prize, endowed with an amount of €15,000, was awarded to the Togolese feminist webmagazine EkinaMag, which offers audio and video content. €10,000 was awarded to the winner of the second prize, Friends of the Earth and the Environment Africa (Les amis de la terre et de l'environnement Afrique), a media from the Democratic Republic of Congo specializing in environmental protection and the fight against climate change in Africa, which targets mainly young people under 35 through audiograms and social networks.

These prizes reward editorial innovation, in uses, in the economic models of the media and their methods of organization.
