Three documentaries are currently being filmed within Gedeon Media Group, the company announced on Wednesday (February 1st). With the feature film Les Fantômes de la guerre de Corée (70'), co-produced by Gedeon Programs and Unik Studio for Planète+, Serge Tignères (De Gaulle, première battles) embarking on a "field investigation carried out in one of the most secret and forbidden areas on the planet," in the heart of the mountains of Korea. He goes in search of the missing among the approximately 3,500 French soldiers integrated into the 2nd American infantry division, under the aegis of the UN, between 1951 and 1953.

In a completely different genre, Gedeon Programs will also produce for Canal+ Philippe Echaroux , le monde en lumière, which Xavier Lefebvre is currently filming in Lapland. This feature film written by Laurent Martein, who had already collaborated with the director on Voyages en terres du Nord, follows Philippe Echaroux, a portrait photographer who projects giant faces in natural settings. He goes to meet the Sami people who, “under the pressure of the surrounding modern world, are fighting for their survival and that of their ancestral traditions.” The photographer wants to "put the power of his images at the service of peoples who directly experience the consequences of climate change or the impact of external threats on their territories," explained the company.

The MC4 subsidiary is involved in a documentary in progress in Chile, in the Madre de Dios archipelago and in Puerto Eden, intended for Arte France. With Ultima Esperenza (90'), the director Gilles Santantonio (Ultima Patagonia) explores, with the last representatives of the Kawesqar people, the island, the cave paintings, the geological sites, in search of the ancestral traces of this population.
