Gérardmer 2023: "La Tour" by Guillaume Nicloux and "La Montagne" by Thomas Salvador in competition

The selection for the 30th Gérardmer International Fantasy Film Festival, which will take place from January 25 to 29, was announced on Thursday, January 5. Two French films are notably in competition: La Tour by Guillaume Nicloux and La Montagne by Thomas Salvador.

The rest of the competition is made up of Blood by Brad Anderson (USA, opening film), La Pietà by Eduardo Casanova (Spain and Argentina), Memory of Water by Saara Saarela (Finland, Germany, Estonia and Norway), Piaffe by Ann Oren (Germany), The Nocebo Effect by Lorcan Finnegan (Ireland, Philippines, UK and USA), Watcher by Chloe Okuno (USA) and Zeria by Harry Cleven (Belgium). The feature film competition jury is chaired this year by Bérénice Bejo and Michel Hazanavicius.

A press conference will take place on Thursday January 12 in Gérardmer to present the entire program (films in selection, activities and meeting times), the composition of the various juries, the names of the guests of honor and special appointments for this 30th edition.
