GKids: acquisition of the US rights to "Ernest and Celestine, a trip to Gibberitia"

GKids has acquired the North American rights to the animated feature Ernest et Célestine, a trip to Gibberitia by Jean-Christophe Roger and Julien Chheng, the American distributor specializing in animation announced on Thursday March 2.. It will be released in the territory in 2023. However, it will be screened at the opening of the New York International Children's Film Festival, which opens this Friday, March 3.

The film is produced by Folivari and Mélusine Productions, in co-production with Studiocanal, France 3 Cinéma and Les Armateurs. It was released in French cinemas last December, and exceeded 500,000 admissions.
