HBO Max: price increase in the United States to $15.99/month effective immediately

The subscription price for HBO Max increased in the United States, announced its parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery, on Thursday, January 12. The rate thus goes from $14.99 to $ 15.99 per month (€14.74) effective immediately and as of February for current subscribers.

This is the first price increase since the launch of the platform in May 2020. It comes as the platform will launch this Sunday, January 15, the highly anticipated series The Last of Us, adapted from the video game of the same name. The version with advertising is available for $9.99/month.
