Image & Cie / Canal+: start of filming of the “Plaine orientale” thriller on April 24

Canal+ and Image & Cie (Mediawan), directed by Nicole Collet, will launch this Monday, April 24 the filming of the thriller Plaine Orientale (8 x 52 ') in Bastia and its surroundings, in Corsica, announced the channel, Friday April 21. Pierre Leccia (Mafiosa) is the creator and director of this new original creation that he co-wrote with Aurélie Teisseire (Mafiosa). Raphaël Acloque (Les Hautes Herbes) and Lina El Arabi (Furies, Divertimento) play Reda and Ines, diametrically opposed half-brothers and sisters who will join forces against the local mafia.

When Reda comes out of prison, he hopes to reconnect with his former accomplice who has become Carlotti's second in command, the Godfather who reigns supreme over the north of the island. Reda struggles to find his place in this world of thugs that has changed a lot and quickly understands that he will not be accepted by the band of the Eastern Plain. At the same time, his half-sister Ines arrives in Bastia, whom he has lost sight of since childhood, now a young magistrate who joins the first anti-mafia unit formed by the police and local justice. Determined to bring down the Godfather Carlotti, she offers Reda a secret alliance. A high-risk pact is then signed between the two.

The cast also includes Veerle Baetens, Antonia Desplat, Aurélien Gabrielli, Cédric Appietto, Henri-Noël Tabary, Eric Fraticelli, Julie Ledru, Denis Pierinelli and Véronique Volta. Studiocanal is responsible for the international distribution of the series, which will continue shooting until mid-September.
