L'Equipe has acquired exclusive broadcasting rights for the entire Paris 2023 World Para Athletics Championships, the channel and the organizing committee for the event announced on Friday, January 27. The competitions will take place at the Charléty stadium from July 8 to 17.
The L'Equipe channel will broadcast the best moments of the competitions every day with a special program presented by Messaoud Benterki. And the championships will be offered in full on the L'Equipe platform (site and app) in the L'Equipe live package and on the L'Equipe live 1 and L'Equipe live 2 channels.
The L'Equipe group will also provide coverage of the event in its daily newspaper and magazine. "The Team will engage all its media to cover this parasport competition, the most important after the Paralympic Games," explained Laurent Prud'homme, CEO of the group quoted in the press release, who also considers that "it is the role of The Team […] to promote and exhibit parasport and present the future stars of the Paris 2024 Games to as many people as possible.”
