Lafaaac and Cinekap, a Senegalese production company founded and directed by Oumar Sall, have entered into a partnership to strengthen training in audiovisual and film production professions in Senegal and in the sub-region, announced the Franco-Anglophone Academy of audiovisual arts and cinema, Thursday 15 June.
Supported by the French Development Agency (AFD), it aims to increase "the skills of future Senegalese producers and creatives". The training will combine “ distance training and face-to-face support over several months, with the common thread being the production of short films”, it is specified. This partnership is a continuation of existing systems such as the Kourtrajmé school in Dakar (Satellifacts, January 18, 2022) or the Yennenga center for postproduction.
