On Wednesday, January 4, in Cannes, Les Films du Printemps (Juliette Hayat) and Shine Fiction (Dominique Farrugia, Banijay) began filming a new opus from France 3's "Meurtres à…" collection, the channel announced the same day. Meurtres sur les îles de Lérins (90') is written by David Crozier and Camille Guichard, and directed by Anne Fassio.
The plot: In the Lérins Islands, located in the Mediterranean, Christophe Beaumont, a film producer, is found dead on the set of the film adapted from the legend of the iron mask. In charge of the investigation, Laure Castaldi is surprised to find her sister Manon at the crime scene. The latter had just been transferred under orders to the Cannes brigade. They haven't seen each other since Laure didn't show up to their mother's funeral. During their investigation, the suspects seem to echo the legend of the iron mask and the various identities attributed to it.
The fiction is embodied by Ophelia Kolb (Laure Castaldi), Pauline Bression (Manon Castaldi), Eva Darlan (Jeanne Beaumont), Robinson Stévenin (Antoine Chevalier), Jean-Michel Noirey (Bruno Castaldi), Eric Pucheu (Florian Rivière), Bambo Da Silva (Clément Botella), Aurélien Vacher (Etienne Balian) and Patrick Rocca (Christophe Beaumont).
Filming will continue in Cannes until February 1.
