Les Films Pelléas / Point Prod: “Belle-Ile” by Elie Grappe filming in summer 2024

The shooting of Belle-Ile, second feature film by Elie Grappe (Olga in 2021), will take place in Belle-Ile-en-Mer in the summer of 2024, indicated its producers, Les Films Pelléas and the Swiss production company Point Prod, Wednesday, June 14. The director signs the screenplay with the novelist and screenwriter Victor Jestin (La Chaleur, L'Homme qui danse). The project was selected to Group West (Satellifacts, December 20, 2022).

Inspired by real events, the film takes place in 1934, when 56 boys escape from the penal colony for minors of Belle-Ile-en-Mer and disperse on the island. Overwhelmed, the colony offers 20 francs to anyone who brings back a fugitive. As night falls, locals, fishermen, tourists, everyone joins the hunt.
