Locarno Festival: French director Luc Jacquet rewarded

The French director Luc Jacquet, Oscar for best documentary film in 2006 for March of the Penguins, will receive the Locarno Kids Award la Mobiliare, a prize which rewards "the personalities who have been able to introduce young audiences to the cinema " on the occasion of the 76th Locarno Festival (August 2 to 12), the organizers indicated on Tuesday April 18. He will receive his prize on August 7, before a meeting with the public the following day. March of the Penguins will also be screened during the festival.

Created in 2021, the Locarno Kids Award la Mobiliare rewarded Mamoru Hosoda in 2021 and Gitanjali Rao in 2022.
