Lumières de la presse internationale 2023: "La Nuit du 12" crowned best film

La Nuit du 12 by Dominik Moll was named best film of the year at the 28th edition of the Lumières de la presse internationale, held at the Forum des images in Paris on Monday, January 16. The feature film was also singled out for its screenplay.

Pacifiction by Albert Serra won three prizes: best director, best image and best actor for Benoît Magimel, already awarded last year for Peaceful by Emmanuelle Bercot. In the category of best actress, Virginie Efira was honored for Other People's Children by Rebecca Zlotowski. As for the revelations, Nadia Tereszkiewicz was rewarded for Forever Young by Valeria Bruni Tedeschi and Dimitri Doré for Bruno Reidal by Vincent Le Port.

The prize for best documentary went to Alice Diop for Nous, while that for best animated film went to Little Petit Nicolas – As Happy as Can Be by Amandine Fredon and Benjamin Massoubre. The prize for the best first film was awarded to Sixième Enfant by Léopold Legrand, and that for the best international co-production to As bestas by Rodrigo Sorogoyen. The prize for the best music was given to Benjamin Biolay for Flickering Ghosts of Loves Gone By of André Bonzel.
