The maritime transport and logistics group CMA CGM, chaired by Rodolphe Saadé, crossed the 5% threshold of the capital and voting rights of the M6 group to reach 5.02% on December 9, according to an statement from the Financial Markets Authority (Autorité des marchés financiers, AMF) published on Thursday, December 15.

CMA CGM was a candidate for the takeover of the M6 group (sale project finally abandoned) alongside FL Entertainment (Stéphane Courbit) and Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière (Fimalac and Webedia) (Satellifacts, September 25). The CEO, Rodolphe Saadé, is interested in the media sector, looking at possible acquisitions (Satellifacts, November 15). In September, he acquired 100% of the shares of La Provence, after a legal battle with Xavier Niel (NJJ). The company is already a shareholder of Eutelsat, with 9.9%.
