Magrittes 2023: an honorary prize for Agnès Jaoui

French actress, director and screenwriter Agnès Jaoui will receive an honorary Magritte at the 12th French-speaking Belgian Cinema Awards Ceremony, organizers said on Monday, February 6. The André-Delvaux Academy thus wishes to reward a woman who “has shaken French cinema with her audacity, her clairvoyance and her many talents for more than forty years.”

She will receive her award at the ceremony on March 4. Agnès Jaoui succeeds Marion Hänsel, Monica Bellucci, Raoul Servais, Sandrine Bonnaire, André Dussollier, Vincent Lindon, Pierre Richard, Emir Kusturica, Costa-Gavras, Nathalie Baye and André Delvaux. Nominations will be announced on February 10.
