The actress Marion Game, heroine of the series Scènes de ménages on M6, in which she played Huguette, died Thursday March 23 at the age of 84, announced her daughter Virginie Ledieu, also an actress, the day after her death at her home in the Paris region.
Born in Casablanca, Morocco, this popular figure of the 1970s and 1980s distinguished herself in numerous supporting roles in theatre, cinema and television, both in fiction and by regularly participating in meetings such as Les Jeux de 20 heures on FR3, at the time, and L'Académie des neuf on Antenne 2. She played in particular in the feature films Le Cri du cormoran le soir sur les jonques by Michel Audiard (1971), Les Bidasses en folie by Claude Zidi (1971), C’est pas parce qu’on a rien à dire qu’il faut fermer sa gueule… by Jacques Besnard (1975) or Parking by Jacques Demy (1985). Viewers were also able to see her in Les Brigades du Tigre (1975), Nana (1981) and Boulevard du Palais (1999-2008). More recently, the public had found her in Plus belle la vie (2010-2012) on France 3. In addition to shooting commercials, Marion Game also did dubbing. She had been, for example, the French voice of Loïs, the mother of the gifted teenager Malcolm in the American series of the same name, or the character of Phyllis Van de Kamp, the stepmother of Bree in the series Desperate Housewives.
Her role in Scenes de ménages, a short fiction on the daily life of couples of different generations launched in 2009, had put her back in the spotlight, bringing together some evenings up to 5 million viewers. She interpreted the wife of Raymond, played by Gérard Hernandez. Marion Game "greatly contributed to the success of the series", reacted M6, which paid her a first tribute in the daily episode of March 24, at 8:30 p.m., by broadcasting "iconic sketches" of the couple. As indicated on Twitter by the boss of the group, Nicolas de Tavernost, another tribute is already planned for Tuesday March 28. Entirely dedicated to Huguette and Raymond, this prime time will also offer cult sketches of the couple surrounded by Jamel Debbouze, Amel Bent, André Manoukian, Catherine Jacob and Jean-Paul Gaultier notably.
