The three Fox Sports channels in Argentina are now on the air, the Mediapro group announced on Tuesday, February 7, almost 9 months after acquiring them from Disney (Satellifacts, May 3). Their launch follows several months of work to renew the offer of the said channels, both in form and in content, “with new programming and new collaborators, as well as new equipment.” The channels share a set of 360 m², in Buenos Aires.
The three pay-TV channels, which retain the Fox name, will broadcast more than 2,000 hours of live sports programming per year, including 135 hours of the UEFA Champions League and 88 hours of Formula 1 and tennis (ATP). Fox Sports Argentina has over 8 million subscribers and produces over 4,000 hours of original content per year.
