
Mouv' is putting four new series of Arnaques, Crimes & Putaclic online, a podcast dealing with the world of the internet and its personalities, announced the Radio France station on Friday March 17. These 12 new episodes, lasting from 5' to 10', were designed and written by Ngiraam Fall, who narrates them alongside Laurence Méride.
One of the series is interested in “the terrible history of platforms ”, evoking the case of Yahoo, Netflix and Snapchat. A second series evokes “the terrible history of web fiascos ”, with episodes focusing on Nikola, Facebook and Quibi. Another trio of episodes is devoted to "the terrible history of hate ", in reference to 4chan, QAnon and GameGate "the troll empire". Finally, three other episodes concern "the terrible history of scams ", with the examples of Billy McFarland, "the curious case of doctor Ruja" and Ashey Madison.
For the record, Mouv' podcasts totaled 193,000 plays/downloads in February 2023, placing the channel 15th among podcast publishers, according to data published by Médiamétrie (Satellifacts, March 9). Arnaques, Crimes & Putaclic is one of the channel's four main podcasts.
