NEF Animation: launch of a call for projects for a writing residency with Spain

The Nouvelles écritures pour le film d’animation, NEF Animation (New Writings for Animated Film Association, tn.) and the Spanish Cultural Center for Contemporary Creation Matadero are launching a call for tenders for a new cross-writing residency in 2023, the NEF announced on its website. A Spanish artist (author, director) will be welcomed in the spring, at the Royal Abbey of Fontevraud, partner of the operation, and a French artist in the autumn, in Madrid. The call for tenders is for a “personal animated film project (short, feature film, animated series or other format).” The application deadline has been set for February 6, at 1 p.m.

The French winner will be received in residence in Madrid in October. Accommodations, catering (full board) and round-trip travel costs will be covered, specified the NEF. The elected member will also receive a scholarship of 1,200 euros.
