The event series Lupin, starring Omar Sy, will return to Netflix on October 5, more than two years after the launch of the second part, the platform announced on its Twitter account and on its site, Thursday April 20. In this Gaumont production, directed by Louis Leterrier (Le Transporteur 1 et 2, Insaisissables), Omar Sy, notably surrounded by Ludivine Sagnier and Clotilde Hesme, plays Assane Diop, admirer of Arsène Lupin, the gentleman burglar imagined by the novelist Maurice Leblanc in 1907, rooted in today's Paris. In the second part, his character found himself in a conflicting situation between his desire to avenge his father and his desire to be a good father himself.
Remember that the series was created by George Kay (Criminal, Killing Eve) in collaboration with François Uzan (Family Business). Part 1 was watched by 76 million households within 28 days of its launch on Netflix, dethroning La casa de papel as the platform's most popular non-English series. Dubbed in fifteen languages, Lupine was also ranked number 1 in ten countries, including the United States, a first for a French series.
