
The Polar prize in series 2023 was awarded, Friday, March 31 in Lyon, to Gérard Lecas, for his book Le Sang de nos ennemis (ed. Rivages), chosen from among the six finalists. This prize, awarded as part of Polar Connection, rewards a thriller or French-language crime novel for its own qualities and its potential for adaptation into a television series.
The jury was composed of Michel Abouchahla (president of Ecran total), Pierre-Jacques Benichou (casting director), Emma Cascales (screenwriter), Carole Le Berre (program advisor, fiction unit, France Télévisions), Xavier Leherpeur (journalist, film and series critic, France Inter), Pierre Monnard (director), Vera Peltekian (vice-president in charge of original French productions for HBO Max at WarnerBros. Discovery) and Ivan Sadik (director of fiction and producer, StudioFact Stories).
