Prime Video: the documentary “Nadal / Djokovic, duel à Roland-Garros” streaming from May 26

The documentary Nadal / Djokovic, duel à Roland-Garros retracing the sporting trajectories of the Spaniard and the Serb, the two most successful tennis players in Grand Slam history, will be available from May 26 exclusively on Prime Video, announced the Amazon platform in a press release on Tuesday, May 16. Its online broadcasting comes as the 2023 edition of the Parisian tournament, co-broadcast by Prime Video, takes place from May 22 to June 11.
Produced by Breath Film (Elephant), this documentary directed by Céline Jallet, Julie Robert and Antoine Benneteau explores in five acts and for 62 minutes the springs of one of the greatest rivalries in sport by favoring the dramaturgical approach rather than the unfolding of the facts. It returns in particular to the "repeated duels, which have become legendary" of the two tennis players at Roland-Garros, a tournament during which they faced each other 10 times between 2006 and 2022.
The narration of this documentary is a succession of memories and confessions of great witnesses of these clashes, whether they are winners or finalists of Grand Slam, legends of the Parisian tournament, coaches, relatives of Rafael Nadal or Novak Djokovic, consultants or journalists.
Remember that the last game between the two players at Roland-Garros, in the quarter-finals last year, had attracted more than 3 million viewers on Prime Video, which had decided, exceptionally, to broadcast the match for free, with no subscription required (Satellifacts, July 6).
