RFI Theater Prize: call for writing for the 10th edition

The call for writing for the 10th edition of the RFI Theater Prize is open until midnight April 23, to the address prix.theatre@rfi.fr, announced the radio group France Médias Monde, Wednesday March 22.

A dozen texts will be pre-selected for their literary and dramatic qualities and their originality, before being submitted in September to the jury's final vote. The RFI Theater Prize will be awarded on September 24 in Limoges as part of the Les Zébrures d'Automne festival organized by Les Francophonies – From writing to the stage.

To participate, the authors must be between 18 and 46 years old, be from and live in a country located in Africa, Indian Ocean, Caribbean (excluding Dom-Tom), Near or Middle East. The prize is also open to foreigners from these areas, residing in France for less than four years and holders of a residence permit or political refugee status. Their texts must be original, unpublished in France and written in French.

RFI and its partners offer the winner professional support and media exposure through: a residency at the Villa Saint-Louis Ndar in Senegal; a scenic creation residency based on the winning text at the Normandy-Rouen National Dramatic Center; a financial allocation allocated by the SACD ; the organization and funding by the Institut français of a writing residency at the Maison des Auteurs in Limoges and in Paris with Théâtre Ouvert; promotion of the text and broadcast on RFI antennas, as well as a public reading during the cycle “Ça va, ça va le monde! », organized within the framework of the Festival of Avignon.
