The exclusive interview with the President, Emmanuel Macron, live from the Elysée Palace on TF1 and France 2 from 1 p.m drew a total of 10 million viewers for an audience share of 66.8% on Wednesday 22 March, in the midst of protests against the pension reform, the two channels said the next day.
Directed by journalists Marie-Sophie Lacarrau (TF1) and Julian Bugier (France 2), it was followed by 6.1 million viewers on TF1 with 40.6% of viewers (4 years and over) and by 3.9 million viewers on France 2 with 26.2% audience share, i.e. a difference of 2.2 million viewers between the two channels, details the press release. On the 25-49 age group, the interview was watched by 1.1 million viewers on TF1 and 500,000 on France 2.
