TF1 will adapt the international family game The Wheel, a real phenomenon in the UK, the channel announced on Tuesday, December 6. Destined for prime-time, the French version will be produced by Warner Bros. International Television Production France in association with Satisfaction, Arthur's company, who will present it.

Launched in 2020 in the United Kingdom, the program "between general culture, humor and challenge" is the "best launch of a prime-time game show since 2011 on BBC One," the group said. Broadcast for three seasons, this "bright and benevolent" game brings together "up to 6 million viewers in prime time and 35.4% audience share 4+," TF1 stated. Already adapted in Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden, the format will also soon be available in Spain, Finland and the United States on NBC, specified TF1.

The program, created by Hungry McBear, is based on "an extraordinary scenic device": "a giant moving wheel more than 10 meters in diameter," TF1 said. At the center of it, an "anonymous" candidate will have to answer general culture questions. He will be surrounded by seven "celebrities, experts in their field," whose mission will be to help him win "a maximum amount of money."
