The Simon du Cinéma, organized by the Pardon le Cinéma podcast team, unveiled their winners on Twitter on Wednesday February 16th. Since February 9th, Internet users have been invited to vote online to decide between the films in the competition.
These were nominated in various quirky and humorous sections, such as "best bad film", "best film that flopped in theaters" or even "best film called Annette", in which Annette by Leos Carax was the only contender.
The vote, which brought together 2,300 participants, notably rewarded Onoda: 10,000 nights in the jungle by Arthur Harari in the category "Ah mais c’est ça aussi le ciné FR?" (Ah but this is also the French cinema?) and Mike Rianda's animated feature The Mitchells vs. the Machines was named "Best Film Not Released".
